According to the specification provided by Federal, State and International regulations, the solution it is not hazardous, however, due to the alkalinity of the material it can cause irritation to skin and eyes and may be harmful if swallowed.

What should I do if get the material on my skin or clothes?
Immediately flush affected area with plenty of water for at least 5 minutes. Remove affected clothing or shoes and wash before reuse.

Will the solution damage my instrument's finish?
Wood finished with lacquer or urethane is protected. Simply wipe the solution off of the wood with a dry cloth and clean spot with guitar polish to remove any residue.
